OBW is a 9 day long celebration of Ohio craft beer. Every Summer, the best craft brews from all over the state take over the taps in Athens. From July 10-18, uptown became a gathering place for brewers and beer lovers to drink together and toast with a huge array of Ohio’s finest beers. Local food was infused with brews as some of Athens’ best restaurants created special dishes incorporating Ohio beer, or teamed up with breweries for special beer pairing dinners.

A community tradition

OBW is founded on a strong tradition of community involvement. As 2015 is the tenth anniversary, we aimed to honor the origins of OBW and the amazing people that made it all happen. Please check out our “beer-soaked history” page and raise a glass to everyone who has helped OBW become a premier celebration of craft beer.

A week of craft beer events

To see what happens on Brew Week, check out our events page for info all of the music, barbecues and beer talks, including the “Last Call” street party. Over 35 breweries poured craft beer as OBW took over the bricks with music, local art and food.
