- Recipes must use Dry Malt Extract Powder and any Ohio Microbrewed
Beer. Briess Plain DME (dry malt extract) is available for purchase
in 1 pound bags from Leeners at www.leeners.com/sugars.html.
- Sauce must be suited for Beef, Pork and Chicken (seafood a plus).
- Sauce can be cooked on, served for dipping or both.
- From scratch, original recipes only may be submitted. No prepared
BBQ sauces can be used. The use of ketchup is permitted.
- No copyright recipes allowed.
- Judging will be based on flavor, use of the key ingredients,
and ease of preparation.
- Complete recipe and preparation instructions must be included
at time of entry.
- 1st Prize: a You-Make-Kit Universal Brewing System and the winning
recipe will be featured in the new You-Make-Kit Brand BBQ Sauce
Kit being introduced later this year.
- All recipes submitted for judging become the sole property
of Leeners.
- Sauce must be available for judging during Ohio Brew Week.
Winners will be announced on Friday July 18th as part of the Ohio
Brew Week Beer-B-Q Competition.
- Entrants need not be present to win.
- Leeners reserves the right to cancel this contest without notice.
The offer to submit products for this contest does not imply any
contractual relationship, responsibility or obligation on the
part of Leeners, the operators of Ohio Brew Week, its sponsors,
representatives or agents.
- No product, written materials or notifications will be returned
to contest entrants.
- Contest results will be posted at www.leeners.com
and www.ohiobrewweek.com at the promoter’s
convenience.
