The Ohio Brew Week Homebrew Competition is proud and excited to
announce its first year as an AHA-BJCP Sanctioned Competition Program
event. The BJCP
(Beer Judge Certification Program) certifies and ranks beer judges
through an examination and monitoring process which helps ensure
quality judging and feedback to the competition entrants. The AHA
(American Homebrewers' Association), which recognizes and rewards
homebrewers' and clubs' competition successes, works with the BJCP
to administer the Sanctioned Competition Program, which provides
help and basic guidance for competition organizers, a single simple
competition registration and results reporting system, uniform and
up-to-date score sheets and other competition materials, and excellent
means of promoting and marketing competitions.
We invite you to enter your homebrew, and to judge or steward.
(Judges and stewards may have entries, and will be assigned to judge/steward
categories other than those they've entered.)
No experience is necessary for judges or stewards. Entry registration
dealing is June 22, entries must arrive between
June 30 and July 13, and the judging
is on July 19. Judges may walk in entries if they
have been registered by the registration deadline. For more details
about the competition and for judge/steward information, read the

We have a small number of complimentary Friday and Saturday night
hotel rooms we can offer to BJCP judges who are willing to share
with another judge (gender separation of course). First come first
serve. Contact LindaS@warrenpiece.org
if you wish to have one of these rooms.
